Great flying b-17

Had a blast at flite fest tx. I crashed my b-17 and had it back in the air in probably about 20 minutes. Can’t wait to fly with a group of them again. They are great flying planes!! Do recommend the flitetest c pack twin. At least that’s what is in mine.

B-17 review

I have nothing but positive things to say about this plane. The quality of it was great, the quality of packaging was amazing... nice touch with the rumbuilder tape as well, the build was easy and smooth. Besides putting this aircraft together, the flight characteristics were absolutely perfect, granted it’s not going to be the most scale plane on the field, but it flys really good and it’s extremely fun! I had the pleasure of meeting these guys at Apache pass fly-in, in rock dale Texas, this event is huge and is mainly a large scale 3D/freestyle event, with upwards of 70cc, 100cc, 200cc, aircraft that were top of the line, competitive planes, I had such a good time and I didn’t thing it could’ve got better, but when I finally met these guys... it did. we flew ALL NIGHT, for two nights straight. All of us on the 3d line had more fun spending time with these guys and talking to them and how they got about to where they are now and flying there planes.. then we did flying our 8,000$ planes. I personally put one of THERE planes in a tree, while they were off getting more battery’s, we all got a huge laugh out of it and we took it down after figuring out how to use a sky lift and we kept flying. These planes are extremely durable and when they do break or you have a question of any kind, the customer service is the best in the hobby, it’s extremly hard to come across people that are so genuine and want to progress the hobby and just have fun... they are not all about they money like a lot of companies are. These guys just want to have fun and make sure everybody else is having fun as well, and they exceed at that more then anybody else. Not only did I get a plane from them, but I have received a life long memory and friendship and they have received a life long customer!

Fast Build, A lot of Fun!!

The B-17 build took 2 hours from start to finish while at FliteFest Texas. The kit components were precisely cut and fit together perfectly. I used two 2212 1000KV motors on 9x3.8 props with two 20AMP ESCs on a 3S 2200MA battery. The airplane flew well with this set up, but I would use the suggested power setup. It flew like a trainer and handled the wind well. The removable wing made the transport home easier. This was my first large flat foam airplane and was an excellent experience. Would buy from Rumbuilder again.
